We are a bilingual, affirming congregation and have been Reconciling in Christ since 1999. We are dedicated to creating a community where all are not only welcome but truly belong. Regardless of your faith background, country or language of origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation, age, or any other aspect of who you are, we hope you will enjoy worshipping with us.

Beyond our weekly worship services, we cultivate a culture of hospitality through many opportunities for fellowship and sharing meals together. We also foster a culture of justice within our community, so that when you leave on Sunday mornings, you feel empowered to participate in the world as a carrier of the gospel message of grace and peace.

Our ministries include an on-site preschool serving families in Uptown Phoenix and beyond, as well as active engagement with Lutheran Advocacy Ministry of Arizona, Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, the Grand Canyon Synod and more.

Reconciling in Christ

At Faith-La Fe Lutheran Church in Phoenix, Arizona, we welcome and celebrate people of every sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, age, ability, relationship status, and economic situation. As a bilingual, multicultural congregation, we affirm the beauty of our diversity and commit to actively opposing racism, homophobia, transphobia, and all forms of discrimination. As a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) partner, we specifically affirm and uplift LGBTQIA+ individuals as beloved members and leaders in our community. Centered in God’s grace, we are committed to creating a church where all people are seen, valued, and loved—just as they are.

What We Believe

Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.

The proclamation of God’s message to us as both Law and Gospel is the Word of God, revealing judgment and mercy through word and deed, beginning with the Word in creation, continuing in the history of Israel, and centering in all its fullness in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

The canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God. Inspired by God’s Spirit speaking through their authors, they record and announce God’s revelation centering in Jesus Christ. Through them God’s Spirit speaks to us to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in the world.

Our Values

We believe in the risen Christ

We rely on prayer.

We affirm that all are ministers of Christ.

We know that the Word, Sacrament, and Service strengthen us.

We minister to mind, body, and spirit.

We intentionally welcome the stranger.
